Legend of Colorado Springs Names Amy Hoskins As Life Enrichment Coordinator for New Residence
October 12th, 2020
Legend of Colorado Springs Assisted Living and Memory Care, a Legend Senior Living® residence opening this winter, has announced the hiring of Amy Hoskins as Life Enrichment Coordinator.
Hoskins will play a central role in the life of the residence. Life Enrichment is a pillar of the Legend mission, and every residence benefits from a full-time coordinator who plans the many activities that fill the calendar of a Legend residence. These include cultural and intellectual pursuits, outings to residence events, residence-building exercises, lectures, hobbies and classes.
“The focus at every Legend residence is vibrant, purposeful living, and we’re determined to make Legend of Colorado Springs a center of innovation in Life Enrichment,” said Karen Stewart, Residence Director. “Amy’s background is such a perfect fit, it’s almost like the job description was written for her. Residents will connect with her energy and love and her talent for conversation.”
Since Hoskins moved to Colorado Springs from Loveland (CO) as a teenager, she has earned a bachelor’s degree and served on a church mission in Hawaii. She already has a long history of service and has mixes that with a love of event planning. In fact, she’s a Certified International Wedding and Event Planner and puts it to frequent use planning parties and DJing for weddings. She discovered her passion for serving older adults as an activity director for a senior living residence. Add an extreme fondness for theater, the arts and travel and you could say Legend of Colorado Springs is getting “the whole package” in their Life Enrichment Coordinator.
“You can find me at museums, stage plays, concerts, movies – you name it. I also love to travel, with recent trips to Mexico, Honduras, England and Italy,” said Hoskins. “I like to say I have always enjoyed being the reason why someone had a great time. And I have a great time with seniors.”
“We’re excited to have someone with Amy’s qualifications and personality. She embodies the very purpose of the Life Enrichment Coordinator,” said Stewart. “Legend of Colorado Springs is going to have one of the strongest management teams I’ve ever seen in the business.”
