Living with Alzheimer’s or other memory related impairments is an intensely personal journey. While the loss of memories can be one part of that journey, too many people become disconnected from their lives, loved ones and themselves along the way. At Legend Senior Living®, we strive to reinforce your loved one’s sense of self. Specially trained associates will leverage years of experience with memory related impairments to identify where your loved one is on their journey, and use that knowledge to meet them at their point of need with caring support and comfort.
Your loved one will experience a unique blend of homelike comfort, innovative care and experienced, personal attention. Services are tailored to their unique needs, providing the support they need to thrive. Base services include:
- 24-hour, specially trained staff
- Licensed nurse
- Medication assistance
- Tailored therapeutic and recreational experiences
- Individualized service planning
- All meals and snacks, with assistance if needed, through Gold Leaf Dining
- All laundry and housekeeping services
- Family and residence support groups
Upon request, additional services can provide personal assistance with:

What can I expect moving my loved one to Memory Care?

Activities are based on your loved one’s unique life experiences, and combined with therapeutic activities and exercises that preserve sensory skills, mobility and motor function.
Innovative therapies such as our award-winning Paro Seal program, which combines robotics and bio-feedback technologies to deliver the proven benefits of animal therapy, provide powerful experiences that will help keep your loved one engaged and fulfilled. Plus, they’ll be surrounded with ever-changing interactive vignettes designed to stir memories and interests.
At Legend® Memory Care, your loved one will also enjoy an atmosphere designed with all the familiar warmth and comfort of home. Cozy common areas, beautiful outdoor spaces and fun activity areas provide opportunities for companionship, while well-appointed suites and secluded quiet rooms satisfy the need for privacy and personal space.
Innovative Memory Care.
Legend Senior Living offers innovative therapies for Memory Care residents, including the use of PARO, an FDA-approved therapeutic robotic seal. PARO combines robotics and bio-feedback technologies to respond to human interaction much like a living animal would.
Research shows that petting and interacting with this biofeedback seal helps reduce stress and depression in people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, providing powerful experiences that soothe residents struggling with anxiety, agitation, wandering, loneliness and even physical pain. Interaction with a PARO uses neuroplasticity, or the brain’s ability to adapt by forming new neural pathways, to allow the brain to reconnect old memories and build new ones.
Biofeedback therapy with PARO is only one of many innovative, science-based therapies used at Legend Senior Living, which continues to lead the way in neuroplasticity programming for Memory Care.

Companion Services
Sometimes, you may need an extra hand or a friendly ear. Our Companion Services provide personal assistance with a wide range of tasks, or simply the company of someone who cares, to promote independence and free up time for family or caregivers.
Companions Services can include:

- Helping with correspondence
- Reading, visiting
- Sharing interests and talents
- Participating in hobbies and crafts

- Escorting for family dinner or social events

Wellness
Wellness at Legend Senior Living® is more than just a program. Designed to enhance the overall health and well-being of the residents, resident wellness at a Legend® residence is our daily focus.
We care for the entire person - mind, spirit, and body. Socialization, physical activity, spiritual and emotional support, medication management, nutritional counseling, and assistance with activities of daily living are all addressed individually for each resident and support is provided for their family.
We customize our services and meet each resident and their families at their personal point of need with care and service plans designed especially for their needs. Our Healthcare staff monitors each resident's progress daily and adjusts the plan and service delivery approach as needed. Resident and family communication and counseling meetings are conducted regularly to ensure that all are confident and secure in their knowledge of the individual care plan, while our nurses act as a liaison with the resident's primary physician to coordinate medical care and integrate their instructions into the resident’s tailored service plan.
Legend offers a variety of programs designed to enhance the well-being of our residents. Fitness and exercise programs offer activities such as chair aerobics, walking clubs and fitness classes designed to enhance balance, ease arthritis pain and more. Our Companion Services provide personal companionship and assistance with tasks, delivering caring support and a friendly ear when needed.
